Bag production turns an approved design into repeatable cutting, branding, sewing and packing instructions. The exact sequence depends on the material and construction.
This guide outlines the main stages to discuss with Timmy Bags. Use the approved sample and written specification to define what is required for your order, rather than assuming every bag follows an identical process.
1. Confirm the Design and Prepare Materials
Before production, confirm dimensions, material references, color, logo artwork, internal layers and packing. A tech pack helps keep those decisions together.
Materials and components are checked against the agreed requirements before cutting. The scope of checks should be part of the project’s quality-control plan.
2. Cut Panels and Apply Planned Branding
The cutting method is selected for the fabric, shape and order. Review panel dimensions, grain or print direction and allowances for the construction. Die, machine or other cutting methods do not remove the need for checks.

Printing, embroidery or other branding may be applied before assembly where the design requires access to a flat panel. Confirm the position and appearance on the sample. See our logo application guide.
3. Sew and Assemble the Bag
Pockets, zippers, handles and labels are prepared and joined into the main construction. Reinforcement, piping, binding and interlining depend on the approved design.
Check critical seams, attachment points and zipper operation as work progresses. Dimensions and appearance should be assessed using the agreed method and tolerances—not a promise that every sewn piece is mathematically identical.

4. Finish, Inspect and Pack
Finishing can include thread trimming, cleaning and checking the completed shape. The final inspection follows the agreed criteria and sampling or checking arrangement.
Use the approved packing instructions for labels, barcodes, bag protection and carton quantities. Stuffing or compression should be chosen for the product; neither is automatically suitable for every bag.

Plan the Approval and Production Schedule
Samples normally take 7–10 days after all details are confirmed. Production normally takes 30–35 days after all details are confirmed. Shipping time is additional.
Record any changes after approval and confirm their effect on cost, specifications and timing before proceeding. Explore Timmy’s manufacturing process or send your project brief for a reply within 24 hours.
