Choosing an OEM bag manufacturer is easier when every candidate receives the same brief and is assessed against the same evidence. A low price, a long company history or an impressive sample gallery cannot establish whether a supplier is right for your particular order.
1. Ask for relevant project capability
Explain the bag type, material, construction, branding, quantity and destination. Ask how the proposed design would be developed and which details require confirmation. Relevant sample work is more useful than a general claim that a factory can make any product.
Review whether the proposed methods fit your project. If a specialist process or external test is needed, clarify who will arrange it and how its requirements will be recorded.
2. Evaluate the sample and inspection plan
Compare the sample with the written specifications: dimensions, tolerances, material, colour, logo, seams, closures and packing. Check how it works with the intended contents and use. Record approved details and unresolved items instead of relying on memory or a chat photo.
Ask what will be checked during production and before shipment. Agree defect categories, test methods and acceptance criteria appropriate to the order. Sampling inspection reduces uncertainty; it does not guarantee that every unit is defect-free.
3. Check the scope of supporting documents
Distinguish a management-system certificate, a social audit, a material-chain certification and a product test report. They answer different questions and should not be treated as interchangeable product safety guarantees.
For any required document, check the named organisation or facility, covered scope, date and relevance to the proposed material or product. Ask which market-specific requirements need separate confirmation before production.
4. Compare complete quotations and feasible timing
Compare like-for-like specifications, quantities, colour splits, sample costs, packaging and delivery terms. Clarify exclusions and payment conditions in writing. A price difference may reflect a different specification or scope; it is not, by itself, evidence of poor quality or unethical working practices.
Timmy Bags’ standard MOQ is 500 pieces. For one style in multiple colours, the minimum is 300 pieces per colour with at least three colours. Sampling normally takes 7–10 days after all details are confirmed. Production normally takes 30–35 days after all details are confirmed. Shipping time is additional.
5. Look for clear, consistent communication
Choose a working process that records specifications, open questions, approved revisions and schedule changes. Ask how issues will be raised and resolved. A useful reply explains what is known, what is still needed and the next decision; speed alone does not establish reliability.
